Konvent 15 – Historic Restauration

The historic restoration

In 2012, the then dilapidated half-timbered house in Convent 15 was still threatened with demolition – in 2016 it shines again in its old splendor. The goal of the historic restoration of the beautiful little building from 1666 was – to restore the house to its historic essence – inside and out.

Under the direction of qbatur, an architectural firm specializing in historic half-timbered houses, among other things, Convent 15 has been brought back to life in recent years.

See for yourself how the half-timbered house has changed during the restoration.

Historic city and surroundings

Quedlinburg was awarded the status of a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in the 1990s. More than 1000 half-timbered houses have been historically restored since then – the entire old town center with its medieval flair is now a listed building.

And the surrounding area also offers exciting and historic sights.
